The story behind the name
From the outskirts of Piracicaba to building a business ecosystem in Asunción.
Abner Smith was born and raised on the outskirts of Piracicaba, in the countryside of São Paulo, Brazil. Son of a working family, he was the first to start a business and break the cycle of employment as the only possible option.
In 2014, as the country entered one of the deepest economic crises in its history, he watched the operation he was building collapse. He piled up debt, faced physical and mental exhaustion, and went through a burnout that forced him to stop — and to relearn everything.
The turning point began on a motorcycle. Riding solo, he crossed more than 10,000 km of Brazilian roads. That is where he met Mestre Kame, the mentor who would change his relationship with risk, purpose and time.
Out of the road came Descomplica Paraguai, a project that brings traveling motorcyclists together and celebrates road culture as a tool for transformation.
Then came Ubatuba, the attempt to ride to Alaska, the restart and — finally — Asunción. Today, from Paraguay, he runs sales consulting projects, sets up companies for Brazilians going international and writes about all of it.
